                                                                 Blog entry #3





         According to Eric Schlosser in chapter #1 The Founding Fathers There was a young man named Carl marcher who was born in 1917 on a farm in Ohio with several siblings. Carl was a hard working young man who had big dreams. Carl dropped out of school after 8 grade where he was devoted to work on the farm for fourteen hours a day. Carl later worked of seventy six hours a week at Carl's uncle Ben store and he sold local farmers goods thing that the farmer are going to need. Carl saw a young women the he found to be attractive and her name was Margaret Heinzand they later got married . Margaret and Carl brought a hotdog cart and Margaret sold hot dog by the Goodyear factory while Carl was working in a Bakery. Chapter one also talks about the other people started fast food restaurants like MacDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, Taco Bell, Burger-King, Wendy's, and Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Domino's it tells the reader when they started the fast-food restaurant and how it all started. Chapter one also tell the reader that how the restaurant Drive though started and they had waitresses called "Carhops" who brought the customer food to their parked cars dressed  in their mini skirts.The Carhops attracted many young boys teenage boys to the restaurant and it became the boys daily hangout spot.Carl ran into problems with his career and all his friend he made rich turn their back on him when he needed help.Carl career become back to normal.
